Kaniama-Kasese, August 1, 2026 (TOP243NEWS) – The Kaniama-Kasese territory, the main agricultural production hub of Haut-Lomami Province, hosted the 95th Ordinary Cabinet Meeting on Friday, chaired by the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
The government meeting is part of the President’s nationwide outreach policy, a governance approach designed to bring state institutions closer to the people by holding key executive meetings across the country’s provinces.
Through this strategy, the Head of State aims to better address local realities, closely monitor development projects, and accelerate the implementation of government commitments for the benefit of citizens.
The choice of Kaniama-Kasese carries strong symbolic significance. The town is widely recognized as one of Haut-Lomami’s leading agricultural production centres and serves as a strategic hub for the National Service, which promotes food self-sufficiency while providing opportunities for young people through agricultural and livestock development programmes.
During this 95th Cabinet Meeting, the Government is expected to review several key issues relating to the country’s overall situation, assess the implementation of public policies, and discuss national development priorities in line with the strategic directions set by President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
