Kipushi, July 9, 2026 (TOP243NEWS) – The Director General of the Congolese Control Office (OCC), Pierre Lohohola Osomba, is continuing his official working mission in Haut-Katanga Province. Following his visit to Kasumbalesa, he has travelled to Kipushi to assess operational activities on the ground and strengthen cooperation between the institution and economic stakeholders.
During the visit, the OCC chief is expected to inspect the agency’s operational facilities, hold discussions with executives of mining companies, and meet with OCC managers and staff. The mission aims to improve the quality of services provided to economic operators and public-sector partners.
The visit follows a technical meeting held in Kasumbalesa on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, attended by members of the government delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Julien Paluku Kahongya, and the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development, Justin Kalumba Mwanangongo.
Organized with representatives of the Federation of Congolese Enterprises (FEC), the meeting, attended by Professor Dr.
Pierre Lohohola Osomba, provided an opportunity to review the concerns of the private sector and discuss challenges related to improving the business climate in Haut-Katanga Province. Participants also underscored the need to strengthen cooperation between public authorities, the OCC and economic operators.
