Angola:Félix Tshisekedi Attends the Luanda Global Summit on Peace and Respect for International Law
Luanda, July 16, 2026 (TOP243NEWS) – President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, arrived in Luanda, Angola, on Thursday to participate in the third edition of the global initiative entitled "A Call for Peace, the End of Wars, and Respect for International Law."
Ahead of the official opening of the summit, the Congolese Head of State held a one-on-one meeting with his Angolan counterpart, President João Lourenço, the host of the event.
The two leaders reviewed several issues of mutual interest, including the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Angola, the DRC's presidency of the United Nations Security Council, and the evolving security situation in the eastern part of the country.
