
Ndola,July 1, 2026 (TOP243NEWS). –The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is taking part in the 60th Ndola International Trade Fair in Zambia, a major regional business event bringing together companies, investors and public institutions from several countries to promote trade and investment opportunities.
Following the opening ceremony, chaired by the Secretary-General of the DRC’s Ministry of Commerce, Foreign Trade and Industry, representatives of several Congolese state-owned enterprises and public institutions highlighted the country’s economic potential and prospects for regional cooperation.
Among the speakers were Le Doux Nawej Mwinkew, Regional Director of the Congolese Control Office (OCC) for Lualaba Province; Paulin Kasereka Kamuha, OCC Regional Director for Haut-Katanga Province; Honoré G. Kabunda Mbuta, Provincial Director of the Industry Promotion Fund (FPI); and Henri Akemba Mbenga, Provincial Director of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGDA).
The Congolese officials addressed participants after members of the trade fair jury and several Zambian dignitaries visited the DRC pavilion to discover the products, services and expertise showcased by Congolese exhibitors.
The Congolese pavilion also highlights women’s entrepreneurship. At least five women entrepreneurs are exhibiting « Made in Congo » products, presented in French as well as the DRC’s four major national languages—Swahili, Kikongo, Tshiluba and Lingala—to promote the country’s cultural and economic diversity to visitors.
The DRC’s participation in the 60th Ndola International Trade Fair forms part of the government’s strategy to attract greater investment, strengthen trade with regional partners and increase the international visibility of Congolese products.
