Kamina, July 27, 2026 (TOP243NEWS) – The Permanent Secretary of the Sacred Union of the Nation (Union sacrée de la Nation), Professor André Mbata Betukumeso, has called on residents of Haut-Lomami Province to turn out in large numbers ahead of President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo’s official visit to Kamina, scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Speaking to journalists upon his arrival in Kamina, the provincial capital of Haut-Lomami, Mbata said he was leading a high-level delegation from the Sacred Union that includes members of its Presidium, national lawmakers and senior political officials from Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.

He thanked the people of Kamina for the warm welcome extended to the delegation and praised the provincial authorities for their efforts in preparing for the presidential visit.

Mbata urged residents to line the route from Kamina Airport to the city centre in large numbers to welcome President Tshisekedi. He said such a turnout would demonstrate the population’s appreciation for the development initiatives undertaken by the Head of State in Haut-Lomami Province.

The Permanent Secretary also appealed to natives of Haut-Lomami currently living in Lubumbashi and other cities to return to Kamina to take part in what he described as a historic event.
He further called on the public to show their support for President Tshisekedi, whom he described as the highest political authority of the Sacred Union of the Nation.

The President’s visit to Kamina forms part of Félix Tshisekedi’s nationwide outreach tour aimed at assessing ongoing development projects and strengthening ties between national institutions and local communities across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
